Default Are the days of electrolytic capacitors numbered ?

There are more and more manufacturers, that offers values above 1000 uF as polyprophylene capacitor.
Here some examples:

1) http://www.kendeil.com/pdf/K33.pdf
2000uF, 30nH, 1,5mΩ

2) Niederinduktive Kondensatoren - FTCap Fischer & Tausche Capacitors Group

3) ELECTRONICON Kondensatoren und Filterkreis Drosseln > Home > HOME
navigation advices: "Produkte" - "Kondensatoren für die Leistungselektronik" - "Kondensatoren mit großen Kapazitäten" - "Download"
website only in German, but the pdf datasheets also in english

4) WIMA DC-LINK Intermediate Circuit Capacitors

5) WIMA SuperCap Double-Layer Capacitors

6) ICAR (Icar)

well while kinda interesting; some of them would seem so incredibly limited in function so as to be practically useless. the 'supercap' in particular may have some use, but with wildly varying capacitance with voltage difference and a maximum rating of 2.5V it doesnt sound very 'super' to me and hardly compares to an electrolytic in application

the DC link is getting there and I love WIMA MKP 4 (in factI just bought a bunch of them)which is part of that range, but capacity is limited and they are pretty massive, no doubt quite pricey with the larger values too. so sure if things march on, absolutely the electrolytic has a limited lifespan, but of course it does!! this is technology afterall.......

havent read any of the others due to language issues and I couldnt be bothered at this stage to get out google

price difference between electrolytic and MP cap of the same value is enormous

And why would a consumer electronics company stuff them into a table radio or portable TV set? There may be a market for these esoteric caps, but that hardly means the main stream electronics parts market is going to dry up anytime soon.
