Substitute for Toshiba 2SA970 GR or BL?

I'm having a hard time finding Toshiba 2SA970 GR or BL transistors for the input board of my Adcom GFA-555. The issue is mostly finding them at that grade (i.e. MCM has them, but ungraded). I'm sure there must be a good substitute, but I lack the skills to confidently identify one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Something like the 2N5401 should be OK... although watch the pinouts as they differ.
If you need it's NPN complement, that's the 2N5551

2SA970 can still be bought here, this supplier has been selling genuine parts for many years, but I think they only speak German: 2SA ...

P.S. the same here - and they still have 2SC2547E and 2SA1085E: reichelt elektronik - OnlineShop für Elektronik, Notebook, PC-Komponenten, Flachbildschirm, Festplatte, Karten, Kabel, LED

P.P.S. I just inspected my C2547 and A1085 I got from Reichelt recently and note that the package of the A1085 is slightly smaller, height even slightly below the datasheet tolerance. They still "look" genuine, print and all, but does anyone know how to measure r bb

B&D Enterprises - electronics, projection lamps for hitachi, sony, mitsubishi, panasonic, samsung has them (or at least did). Give them a call. They will ship by grade, but you need to ask them to.
