I have a bunch of inductors lying around, and I donīt know if they are of any use in audio gear...
Itīs the kind that are used in fluorescent light armatures, you know like over the kitchen sink, in "solariums", ie. "artificiall sun-taning lightning" and so on. Anyone knows what Iīm talking about? They are dimensioned for a 100W "light-tube" and 220V/50Hz net. Internal resistance is about 10 ohms and the core is laminated. I was thinking I could use them as load in a clas A amp and/or as filter coils in powersupply for low powered class A amps and low level electronics. Dump them in the trash-can or save them for future projects? Thanks /Peter |

I say, save the wire for future usage. I'm gonna make my own inductors and can't find any suitable copper wire.
