Hi everyone,
I have everything required for making a battery pack for my Squeezebox Radio, except for the socket that plugs into the main PCB. It is a 2mm pitch, 10 contact thingie with two rows. For a photo and pinout see Free your Squeezebox Radio. I have measured the header's dimensions and searched for exact mates for it. I found that the Hirose DF11-10DS-2C or the JST PHDR-10VS will fit in it, but of course there may be more compatible sockets out there. Both connectors are housings only- you have to buy the contacts separately. Can anyone help me get one of these connectors (plus contacts) or an equivalent? I would love to have an exact fit instead of a generic socket that can also be plugged in the wrong way and possibly fry my Squeezebox... |

It's a shame from vendor like Logitech to manufacture products with special plugs. Especially when the manufacturer advertise a product with acessories (battery and remote control) and is not even able to provide them!
At least, in order to help its customers, Logitech should sell those special plugs!!! I think I'll end up opening the box and try to manage my own battery connection or connector. Any chance someone in using an universal remote control for the SqueezeBox? |
