2SK370 / 2SJ108: Suitable replacements for 2SK170/2SJ74?

I'm looking to build a popular solid state buffer design (the "JISBOS"), and I read somewhere that these FETs are suitable replacements for the 2sk170/2sj74. While the former is still sold at Digikey, the latter is only available for ampslab.com at $1 each - but you have to order twenty at once!

Hmm. It seems that there's no longer a p-channel counterpart the 2SK170 in production. That's worrisome.
