Default TRT Caps...NOS...Anyone?

Joyous and Happy New Year!

I need to locate some NOS (gently used may be okay too) Wonder caps.
My Father in law wants me to rebuild his speaker system and his beloved SP-3a2.
He built the speakers about 1990-93 and used the TRT Wonder Caps. Ultima model and in the preamp too. The preamp was pulled apart by him last year whereupon the capacitors were lost in a house move. Similarly the speaker x-over cap banks.
He is absolutely adamant that I use the same caps!!!!! Drat.
I've buried him with printouts from forums, "shoot out" reports, etc, ad nauseam..guess what he wants his caps!

As this is an 80th birthday gift to him I'll try to find them.
What I need would be:
16@ 4uf-425v Ultima caps
16@ 1uf-425 Ultima caps
10@ .01uf Ultima caps.

My hope is someone may have a stash or know of an online storefront that has such old stock for sale.
Thank you.

I may have 4 used pieces of 4 uf and 0 01uf
i do have 30 to 40 pieces unused inficaps 6 to 8 uf - mostly 8 uf if I recall
finding close to 50 pieces of a 15 to 20 year old cap may be tough - but who knows whats hiding in the diy parts boxes out there.

Hello; ticknpop.
Well, I did hesitate for three weeks or so before posting the thread as Harry often becomes enthused with some project only to become equally uninterested in a short time.
Such is not the case with this enchantment.
He has been working his phone and e-mail circuit. Surely enough he now has a new mountain he wishes to climb!!!

All those capacitor "shoot out" (comparison) articles, you persons here, as well as his "contacts" have set him on the road toward using the Russian K75's and K72's as well as the ssg3's.
So now the paypal account gets some work!
I am simply thrilled at his returning interest.
PM me if you've the desire to sell the infinicaps.
Now to get back to monitor Harry's fleabay exuberance... as well as limit the damage to my own funds!!!

Actually, I'll be he's seen your stuff on Ebay.

Oh as you stated there is NO problem finding those.
What I meant to say was that the need to find the Wonder Caps has passed as Harry's (my father-in-law) idea of good sounding capacitors has been expanded.
With Harry on the case he'll likely have hundreds before Summer!!!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM... grilled capacitors on a bed of saffron risotto!!!!

No, I use Ebay only for buying, not for selling (Paypal supports only outcoming payments for our country )
It's shop - promelectronica - they have a lot of NOS (88-92 years) and new russian caps...

Smile TRT Wonder Caps

TRT Wonder caps were made by Reliable Capacitor Company and after a dispute with TRT Reliable cleaned all Wonder Caps in stock and restamped them all Rel-Cap either RT or PS, metalized or foil. Peter, I'm told did not pay his bill and for forced to have all future Wonder-Caps made by another company.
