2sk389 replacements - what are you using, and where did you get them?

There are a few vendors selling 2SK389s or "matched" equivalents, but some of the former have been less than trustworthy and some of the latter aren't matched terribly well. Where did you get yours?

Bought a load of 2SK170 and matched them.

Sometimes I use LSK389.

Later on I got my hands on a load of 2SK369 and matched them, which turns out to beat even the LSK389.

The 2SK369 is rather hard to come by though, and fairly expensive if you manage to find some.

2SK369 (matched pair) is not really a direct replacement for 2SK389. It has about twice the transconductance and twice the capacitance. 2SK170 is a better substitute. There are still plenty of sources for both. And if you look hard enough, you can still find 2SK389, at a price. 2SJ109 is a different story .....
