I am a noob. I am just starting to venture into the world of speaker building. I don't really even know where to start. Is there a good place to go and get the info etc?
I am building a custom sound bar for my TV. The biggest speaker I can use is a 4" but I would still like good bass response (as much as I can with 4"). My thought was to get some 3" peerless full range speakers (I found some on parts express that say 54hz - 20khz) Get 3 of them (Left Center Right), then get 2 Peerless 4" woofers that have a range of 20hz - 5000 hz. I thought I could use the subwoofer output of my stereo into another amp to drive the 4" x-over around 150hz... My thought was 2 4" speakers wired in parrell may give me an ok bass output...
Any thoughts, or any websites that have better equipment than parts express??

I'd suggest looking at the Mark Audio CHR-70 or the CSS EL70 (made by Mark Audio). Both are 4" and capable of getting down into the 40s (althou that may require a larger box than you can live with). Extension at the top is likely as good (no data for the Peerless).
