Default Cable for IEM

This is going to sound weird... but i'm going to make a cable for my in ear monitor. Luckily it has removable cables however the original cable quality is horrible. Is there anyone that can recommend me a good cable for usage on the road. This means it will be a lightweight flexible cable that needs to sustain weather conditions.

Anyone have any idea? i'm even willing to make them myself as long as there is some kind of good way to encase them.
