I searched, really, a lot!
Would be indebted for a source for bobbins to wind unused AWG16 into six .45mH coils. TIA!

Are you looking to wind the coils as an air core, or an iron core. If you are going air core, you can use a wooden dowel, etc. as a form, then slide the coil off when you are done, and ty-rap it in three or four places to hold it together. You could get real fancy after you are sure the inductance is right and dip it in shellac to hold it.
If you are going for an iron core, I would look in the magnetics sbu-sub-section of electrical parts in ebays business and industrial section. It takes some digging but it's there. You could also try the websites of the various component suppliers, Newark, Mouser, Digi-key, etc. I am sure they have iron cores for winding inductors and transformers. Peace, Dave |
