Hi,
I'm searching 6U 19" rack case. Best would be plain case made of steel. Front panel can be aluminium. Does anyone have a link? Thanks JoRed |

Now, you say "rack case". Do you really mean a 6U chassis for rack mount? Totally different animal. A rack case to me means a ROAD case for putting rack gear into it and take it on the road. A typical chassis is p/n DF1334 which I built my pre amp into it. Middle Atlantic the maker. Last edited by jrockhead; 2nd October 2009 at 10:46 PM. Reason: more info |

Thanks Jrockhead,
Sorry for the mistake I'm searching 6U chassis. I took a look at the Middle Atlantic rack chassis and unfortunately they dont have 6U height, max 3U. Perhaps you know another link? Thanks |

Try Par Metal in New Jersey. They have an alodized 6U case thats 18 inches deep IIRC, be prepared to spend a bunch of money. Probably close to 200 after all is said and paid for.

Hammond make plain panels in various rack sizes, in steel and aluminum. I've bought those and bolted them onto a Hammond chassis box to create a rack mount cabinet.
