Infinity IL50 help

Hey all,

Been lurking for a bit, but ran into a snag and could use some help. Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this.

I have recently aquired some Infinity IL50's. Come to find out I am not getting any sound from the tweeters (1" CMMD). I think they are blow. I have removed them from the speaker box and connected them directly to my reciever and I get no sound. Thats fine, Infinity still sells them for about $45.00.

My problem is the crossover. I took the tweeter from another speaker (Infinity Entracenter) and hooked it in place of the tweeter in the IL50. I get some sound from it but it it muted and not very clear. It seems as the crossove passover may be failing/failed. The specs from Infinity are 150Hz, 2.5kHz, 24dB/octave. They dont sell the crossover network for the IL50's any longer. I could send the crossovers to be rebuilt, but i am not sure at what cost.

My question is, where can i find a crossover network with the same specs (150Hz, 2.5kHz, 24dB/octave). Is there anything out there similar that I can just swap in? How hard is it to build my own if needed, or should/could I rebuild the ones in the speaker? I have limited experience with this, but am not afraid to try.

I was in a hurry and must be dislexic... I meant passive crossover.
