I am the happy owner of a Studer D731 CD-player, but unfortunately there are som problems with the drive.
I've been searching the internet for many weeks now, but i can't find it. Does anyone know, where i can buy a new Laser Unit/Drive for mu beloved CD player? Thanks in advance |

It uses a Philips CDM-4/36 laser mechanism, one of the best there is. Are you sure it is the laser mechanism that's at fault? Often it is actually the servo electronics, specifically expired electrolytic capacitors.
Replacements are available, try www.ersatzteil.justone-schnepel.de or ebay. |
