I found these (Panasonic FC 2200uF/50v) "by-polarized" on eBay $16/10 incl shipping, compare to $2.60 each at digikey. No one is counterfeiting these things are they?

They will counterfeit anything nowadays
My guess is they're either 1) surplus and just fine or 2) out of tolerance "seconds". Cheers! |

They certainly don't look like bipolar capacitors.
I wouldn't bother since some low ESR 2200uF, 50v capacitors are only $1.49 each at Mouser, or $1.25 each in quantities of 25 or more. http://mouser.com/Search/ProductDeta...R%2f8ujO6b0%3d

I thought it was amusing they say "by-polar", then clearly show the negative lead...
I have no way of confirming they are actually 2200uF, so I'll just have to take their word for it. |

Hi,
if they do not know what product they are offering, then why should you "take their word for it"?

Just wanted to report that I received my caps from lovelyleila2008 ebay vendor and they appear fine. Took 2 weeks. I've tested for esr, consistent .02 ohm, the weight is about right, so is the cap and bung. The color is a bit off, the FCs are typically a dark blue, these are black like some FMs I have. Included was the 50 count bag that Panasonic ships these in. My only issue is that they were packed in an envelope and are a little bit scuffed from rubbing other caps, but not too bad. A real bargain if you want FCs.
