Default Need Uaa170

Hi guys, new to forum and wondering if this is acceptable to ask others here if they might have an old (new or used) IC used as a meter led drive ic in old Flame Liner 400 II. If it's ok and someone has one or knows someone who might please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it as I make what little money I do make by fixin' up old equipment and reselling it. Oh, btw, the ic is marked UAA170. Any help would be appreciated. Also, let me know if this is an inappropriate use of this forum. I will not do it again if it's verboten.

Your post attracted my attention because one of my very first DIY attempts was an LED RPM meter for my car, using the uAA170 (but I never managed to make it work...)

I don't have the ICs anymore, but I've seen that my favourite electronics shop here still lists them. If you have a hard tilme to source them for that repair, let me know (they're very expensive, though)

Hey pilli, thanks for the reply, have found some in UK and in Hong Kong, but freight is KILLER to here in mid US. Will keep looking here (US) until I'm convinced I have to pay that overseas freight. Glad I could cause some of those ole' brain cells to fire. I really enjoy that from time to time to just know that some of those old ones WILL still fire. Thanks, Steve
