Default Regulated supply for active filter ?

Hi ! Is a regulated power supply necessary for an active filter ? I will be using this filter as a subsonic filter.

I asked this question because I am stuck with 9-0-9 auxiliary supply from a main transformer thats powering my amplifier. Thus i don't have enough voltage to use a 12V regulator which usually requires the Vin min to be at least around 14V. So is it ok if i don't use a regulated power supply for the active filter ?

LM337 and LM117 are working from 3 to 30 V see their datasheets , at this supply you can connect your 9-0-9 .and get from 3-0-3 V to 9 0 9 V

it's better if you'll use regulated power supply , you can hear 50HZ hum if use a not regulaated , or you can try only a el. capacitor and ceramic shunt capacitor
