Hello guys
I need a small quality volume control for my Yaqin Vk2100 Any potontiometer like blue alps doesnt fit because the circuit plate is very close to the hol of the sasis that fits the original volume control Any ideas? Does any bourns can do the job?

Peter Daniel did a thread on potentiometers, and one of the ones he tried, an Alpha, was quite small but had decent performance. See the thread here , the pot I'm talking about is at the far left of the picture in the first post. PD bought that particular pot from New Zealand, where I am, for some reason, but I am sure it can be sourced elsewhere.

Do you have anything against a digital volume control? Rotary encoders are usually thin and shouldn't get in the way.
Check out the project page for this simple PGA2320 volume control........ http://audio.gotroot.ca/minivol If it looks like something you might be interested in, I have a bunch of extra PCBs and pre-programmed microcontrollers. This might need an input buffer in front of it depending on your source output impedance.
