Hi All:
I need a 1Meg reverse log pot. I will be using this in a two-terminal application (i.e. as a variable resistor, not as a potentiometer), so the trick of faking it with a shunt resistor between the wiper and input side won't work. Does anyone know where to get one at a reasonable price? |

www.tubesandmore.com had some reverse log pots a while back.
You can also try a music store, as they are used as volume and tone controls in left-handed guitar and bass Cheers! |

Digi-key has some high quality 2W Carbon ones made by PEC you may be able to find locally as well. This is the same pot I have seen others charge quite a bit for. See; http://search.digikey.com/scripts/dk...?KeywordSearch

Thanks. I already tried DigiKey, and they don't seem to have any. I tried your link, and it took me to their search page, so I tried "reverse log" and "reverse audio", neither of which brought up any pots.
However, I finally found some here: https://taweber.powweb.com/store/potsord.htm They were only $2 each, so I ordered a couple, and some terminal strips as well (which I need for a vacuum tube amp overhaul). |

Ah, Ted! Him and CJ are good people. You can't go wrong dealing with him
But do mention USPS mail, otherwise they'll send it FedEx Cheers! |

Glad to hear that!
Yes, I always request USPS (or whatever the postal service is in the country I'm ordering from), since courier is expensive, and UPS in particular charges huge brokerage fees to the recipient. (I've ordered a $10 item, was charged $1.30 in tax, and $35 in fees by UPS.) |

I got hit with nearly $200 in fees from FedEx on a $50 order (yup, went to a couple of lawyers, both said I was screwed) |

My sincere apologies about the open ended link. Glad you located what you were looking for. However I just tried Digi-key again. Part No. KB1051S28-ND appears to be in stock. It is a single Reverse Log taper Carbon 1M 2W pot made by PEC. The link should be:
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...e=KB1051S28-ND KKB1051S28-ND is the double Reverse Log taper version also apparently in stock; http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...=KKB1051S28-ND Regards |
