Default Speaker workshop jigs.

I was going to build some jigs following these instructions.

http://www.claudionegro.com/swsetup/cables/cables.html

I'm having trouble finding the wire used. I searched PE and couldn't find anything with three wires. I emailed a tech and he gave me a link for mic cable, but it only had two wires.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

Wililam

The picture in the link article seems to show a standard 2-conductor shielded cable, with the shield formed into a pigtail and covered with black heat-shrink. Using the shield for the ground connection gives the 3 conductors you need. So mic cable should work.

If noise isn't a big factor and you are just using the cables for a few tests, you could always use a bit of scrap (4-conductor unshielded) telephone wire.

Cheers
John

Default Can you say black wire equals braided wire shield?

Only poking at you in fun!

The black wire in Mr. Negro's site is connected to the wired braided shield. It acts as a ground for his purposes. So you ae looking for two wire with braided shield.

Yes William,
it is a standard 2-conductor shielded cable, as John and Mark said.
I covered the shield with a black plastic just for safety (unwanted short).
Just be sure to use a thick cable, since it makes easier the connections.

Alright, thanks guys. I thought about the shielding. The pics look pretty clean and looked like a 3rd wire. I guess that explains why I couldn't find such a product.

I only want to order once.
