USB host audio player?

Is there a cheap device (off the shelf or homemade) that plays MP3 files from a USB drive? In the intended applications (car audio and a small bedroom music player), quality is not that important (if it gets good FM quality or better, it's good enough).

The closest thing I could find is http://shop4.frys.com/product/579737...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG , modify it to get a standard analog (and maybe digital) signal from it as well as perhaps repackage it for a different application.
