Hi -- I have just become the prod owner of a 3582A spectrum analyzer, and I think I bit off and big mouth full. While I am what might be termed highly trained in the world of RF test equipment -- this is a horse of another color. Instead of a sweeper type SA it has no sweep control, in fact it appears that it takes the hole band from 0 to 25 Khz and digitizes it before being sent to a dedicated computer for processing. I would like to hear from anyone who has some time on this machine, and who would be willing to outline some measurment techniques, or point me to some online information. I downloaded the manual, and performed some of the examples I found there, but obviously it is capable of so much more. Anyone help?
I have started with: Single pole low pass filter. Transfer function to a two port network. It is just going to take time and effort. Bob |
