What are the chances an ALPS Blue Velvet pot from a EBAY seller in Hong Kong is counterfeit?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Alps-100K-A-x-2-...arms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1| 294%3A50 I see the same pot from a American supplier for quite a bit more: http://angela.com/alpsbluevelvetpotentiometers.aspx |

I'd say it's a possibility. The eBay item clearly shows solder-lugs, yet the other source shows them having pins instead.
Some research on the internet revealed blue velvet pots most likely to be from the RK27 series . RK27 seems to have pins only as there is no terminal style indicated by Alps (which they do when more than one style is available, e.g. RK163 series: "for PC board" or "lead"). Other pics I googled on RK27 or blue velvet never show lugs. |
