Hi
I am sory for my poor english ! Izzik from israel I am lookigg for new caps for my mcintosh mc2105 ! I fond this ge caps - http://www.tedss.com/item.asp?id=2020020474 They are new bat from old stock ! Are they any good ? Do the years efect new (not usde ) caps ? |

If they have been stored at a cool temperature and are not too old then they may be OK.
It doesn't say how old they are. Do you know? The electrolyte tends to dry up with age and heat, reducing the capacitance and increasing ESR. This makes the cap less effective. $25 is quite expensive for a 48mF cap - I think you can do better. One alternative could be to parallel up 2x24mF, or better 4x12mF, or reaally good 8x6mF. But this can also get expensive. And it spoils the visual effect too. |

Take a look at Rifa PEH-200. That should sort you out for pretty much the rest of your life.

The caps are vintage can caps for my vintiage mcintosh .GE cap new 33 yaers old cap
This one is from 1986 Are they any good ? |

They'll be drier than a **** ****! Personally, I'd go with something from this millenium like what Magura suggested. |
