Did a search her and only found 13 posts with the word "Arduino". However, this microcontroller platform is "catching fire" over at the robotics/electronic project sites. But audio seems to be at the bottom of their project list.

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to discuss building an "arduino audio platform".

For example, you can get an Arduino controller and easily ad an LCD, a rotary encoder, a key pad and an IR remote. The hardware is easily available and amazingly affordable. Plus people have been writing software libraries, so the coding is becoming easier and easier.

As more powerful platforms are developed, perhaps a low jitter music player can even be developed.

In addition, the work of the community is either public domain or open source. Plus there are low cost PCB services offered by several vendors.

Some good places to start are: http://www.arduino.cc/ , and some vendors such as sparkfun, nkcelectronics and seeedstudio (no association)

Thanks glt, for bringing this to attention!

I'm wondering about using this for LDR dynamic matching in a vol control ie. something like a lookup table of values that would cause two unmatched LDRs to have the same resistance for a particular vol setting!

Is there any pre-existing project that could be used as the basis for this?
