Hello to all.Working on a sansui 1000a tube reciever. On the main power transformer there are 2 diodes #Si, diode AC (rms)180v@500ma. on 1 circut & 1 diode # selenium diode ac 45v@25ma on another circut. Can I swap these with 1n4007 type diodes? (these diodes are not the rectifier diodes.the rectifier has 6 glass type Ge diode 90v@50ma.What can I change these over to? Thanks, tom

Hi,
Here are two sites where you can find diode details: http://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp?Searchword=4049 and http://www.datasheetarchive.com/ Al the best. Regards. ct12 |

Replacing a selinium rectifier with a silicone diode is usualy a little
more complicated. The silicone diode will give you a higher output voltage you may need to make an adjustment for this higher voltage. |
