Hello to all.recapping my tube reciever. The caps that come off the 7591 tubes are elna 0.3uf @ 400wv. can I put two 0.15ufs together to get the 0.3

Put both 0,15uF in parallel, and yes, you obtain a total of 0,3uF. Of course each of the 0,15uF capacitors should be rated for the same voltage as the 0,3uF unit!

You may be able to get away with a single 0.33 instead. Or even a 0.47 or 0.22.

You can reduce the grid leak for the 7591 (assuming the driver can handle it) and use a larger cap and have the same frequency response while putting less strain on the 7591. If they're say 220k, you could make them 120k and use a .47uF. This all really depends on how stressed the driver is already, so if it's a 12ax7 this is probably out.
