I got a dozen or so of these for free and wanted to check that they would be a good choice to use two of them and form a bridge rectifier as part of a DC power supply.
http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/MB/MBR4060PT.pdf 60V max reverse & 40A average rectified forward current. Should be enough ;-) |

Can't answer that till you show us the circuite you intend to use them in transformer type, voltage ect.

Of course, sorry about that. Its a capacitance multiplier supply that my son wants to use for a JLH 2005 Class-A amp.
http://www.tcaas.btinternet.co.uk/jlhcapmult.htm Transformer is dual secondary 32-0-32 400VA C1 & C2 in that schematic will be dual 10,000 uF 75VDC - 20,000 uF per rail. |

Don't think so. The problem is the 60v reverse breakdown rating.
Take a look at just the + cap. The 32 v ac will charge the cap to about +42v during the half cycle it's charging but on the other half cycle the diode will see 42v+ from the cap and - 42v from the transformer for about 84v across it this excedes the 60v rating. |
