Hello,

I am new here and this forum is incredible.

I have a very old pioneer amplifier and i want to change the volume and balance pots.
My problem is that the volume pot is a dual linear with loudness control at 100KB and cannot find to buy a new one.

My question is:
Can I use dual logarithmic 100KA with loudness control pot instead of the dual linear 100KB pot?
For the balance what pot should i use linear or logarithmic?

Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm not sure I understand you correctly?

You cannot replace a linear pot with a logarithmic one without changing the surrounding electronics in your amp - double logarithmic ain't no fun ;)

Balance is usually a linear pot.

Have fun, Hannes
