Binding Post Crossthread, Help!!

The Binding post got cross threaded on my amp, I tried coaxing it back and forth for a little while to work the thread out. Now it is broken It is stuck in the middle and will not move in or out.

Any ideas?

You might just need to replace it, unfortunately

I was thinking that might be my only option, the thing that really sucks about it is that it is on an NAD amp, and it is integrated into the chip..........I think that it is beyond my level....

Maybe simply mount new binding posts beside the original, and wire it to the original, on the inside

Actually, haha, if it was myself I would probabally get out the vise grips and make it move, haha. (Gotta love brute force) But that always ends in destroying the binding post, and what else..possibly the PCB as well.

You said the chip? Or the PCB? Ive never heard of binding posts integrated into silicon! haha

Sorry, pcb, not chip.

And I tried coaxing it in and out for about hour. Then I moved on to a strip of rubber to get better grip (not far off from the vice grips.....but brute force still the same). And no room back there for an additional post. Off to NAD to see how much to fix......
