Hi.

Does anyone know a supplier of silicon carbide schottky diodes "at a reasonable price"?

thanks
Andy

Well well well, I didn't know you were so into fancy parts Andy ;)

I'll be watching this thread with interest. The Farnell prices not good enough for you? I think they're ok if you're just doing a pre-amp or output stage in a CD player, but not cheap enough to do all psus... :xeye:

Please don't waste these diodes in 50Hz rectification... Even the slowest diode bridge will do that work perfectly.

SiC diodes are "fragile" too, they may not survive inrush current in conventional 50Hz rectifier circuits.

There is no SiC at a reasonable price, they are an order of magnitude more expensive than conventional diodes for a reason: No reverse recovery in a 600V diode.
