Hi all,
I start to play with my preamp-toy and would like to use a rotary encoder with nice rotational feel a la Alps blue or black. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but all those mixing consoles out there also use something similar AFAIK I have seen only Grayhill 62 and Alps EC12/EM11 at the moment, any other recommendations? Or recommendations for one of these two? Without detents and with metal attenuator would be nice! Have fun, Hannes

The absolutely best that I've been using is this: http://www.avagotech.com/pages/en/mo.../heds-5701c10/
It is the same as in this product: http://www.marklevinson.com/image_library/380SOH_lo.jpg

They used to be on ebay at $12/pc. Last time I ordered from Newark I think it was $60 or so.
