I'm making a preamp for my bass guitar . The circuit design is almost complete apart from a problem i have run into with the volume pot. the volume pot needs to recieve the input signal from the passive circuit and the active circuit. The active would need a volume pot of around 25K ohms and the passive would need a pot of 250K ohms.
Is it possible to get double ganged rotary pots like this, that have 2 resistor tracks, 2 inputs and a single or double output? (basically 2 pots built into one, with only control shaft)

you can find dual element dual concentric pots. that would be one shaft that is split in two so that there are two separate control knobs stacked. 25k and 250k might be a special order but you can find it.

Special order ? What's that?
Buy 2 dual pots, identical except one at 25k and one at 250k Dismantle by carefully unbending the tabs and reassemble with one 25k and one 250k. Simple, eh? Andy
