Not really. Something from a russian submarine or at least a T34 would be more appropriate. Trying to keep the nasty silicon out, selenium seems a natural choice. And no mercury rectifier that i know would be able to supply enough juice.

Seriously, what did you think of the sound?

as I said - they sound interesting ... open invite for more play (with) ;

btw - I didn't meant on usual (if that exist) mercury rect. but on old , even ancient , used for movie projectors

Default 1T813B (V)

Vces=120
Ic = 30 amps
Hfe = 10~60
Pd = 50W

My reference doesn't have frequency or transit time specs, but this type was usually used in DC-DC converters. Might be a real decent audio job.
It's worth noting that 1T= Ge mil-grade, and the part numbers correspond exactly to GT (that's a G like Gamma) numbers, only the 1's go throught more rigorous testing. Same deal for silicon, 2T vs. KT, and while we're at it, 2P vs. KP for silicon FETs

Hi Zen,
Sorry, no, just a list I vacuumed up from promelec.ru, but I'll be darned if I can make the link work anymore. They may have taken their transistor parameter tables down. Here's an alternate (which doesn't have yours), but's good for reference:
