Elna Silmic II for DC Filter

Hi Folks,

i am making lots of researches on internet on the best but reasonably priced electrolytic cap for AC power supply filtering.

Besides the super costly Blackgate is there any other comparable cap?
It seems on this test that somebody run and shared the results, that the Elna Silmic II would be even better.

The test seems to be reliable enough...but i would like to know if anybody had any relevant experience with different caps and wants to share it here.
I also know that Panasonic FC are really worth till the last cents but on this test it appears to be of a less quality than the silmic II.

His test is purely subjective, so there's not much more to say about it other that's how that person rated those caps. If you have similar listening preferences then choose the caps he liked the best that fit your budget if you think it will make a difference. Otherwise, the Panasonic caps will work just fine. I normally use them and have no complaints.

Edit: I think/hope you meant to say you will use these caps for DC power supply filtering.

yes, your hopes are correct....as you can read in the first post: the application is for power supply filtering.

The thread name is very misleading as AC filtering is something completely different.
