This is an output transformer.

I need the layer insulating material. I have heard it described as varnish impregnated paper. Also some fiberglass material, or even mylar tape.

Also, I would like to find a place to send it to be vacuum impregnated with varnish.

Any sources?

I am using polyimide tape to insulate each layer, and I will vacuum infuse the layup myself.

Info for anyone else interested in finishing transformers...

Another and easier way is dipping the transformer in an organic (crystalline) wax available from candle making suppliers. Literally boiling in wax that's at 80-85C. or so (use 130C wire for this though) for 60 seconds.

Cheers!
