Why not just measure it to be sure?
Put a 5VDC or the plus of a 9 V battery on one pin, from the other pin go through 220 ohms to the + of a LED, other lead of the LED back to the - of the supply or battery.
Swap the diode pins until the LED lights, then you have the + on the anode.

Too tired to google for a datasheet, eh?

Pinout is also given.

Hi Hannes
thats the problem, i did find the datasheet, but im totally newbie. which pin is anode and which pin is cathode? thanks alot
Which is probably the safest option, as diodes are generally available in normal or reversed versions.Nordic said:You could also identify the leads useing the diode test on your multimeter...

if the diode test does the bip sound. is it anode or cathode that connected to the positive/red lead of the DMM? thanks
If u are using a digital multimeter, the red lead supplies positive (from the DMM battery). The diode will beep when the anode is supplied with +polarity.
Don't confuse yourself of the supply on the meter leads. It is needed to test Rs and other passive components including diodes. However, on a DMM, u have to set the range to diode test. The resistance mode will show open in both the directions.
The polarity of the traditional analog multimeter is reversed.
