Looking at an old HP 500C Inkjet thought that it has most of the bascics to do a Coil Winder for thin wire bobins (30-38 Ga.).
Since I like to wind some audio tranies which usualy have some 3000 or more turns and don't have a winder with wire feed thought that this unsuded trash could make a nice tool for the purpose. But i have to say that this seems to be a far fetched proposition for me when it comes to the digital interface. Basic Functions: 1. Wire feed (out of the printer carriage) 2. Coil winder (out of the paper feed) 100/200 RPM. Variable? 3. Turns counter. 4. Start and finish position of layers. 5. Stop at end of layer (to add insulation) Mechanically I see no problem that I could not solve. Here is my question for those in the digital field. What's involved in making this idea a reality? |
