I've avoided SMD components for years, but I just inherited some.
Are there standards regarding the package labeling on these tiny parts? Are there any good sites to look-up the markings? It is really strange that there is so little ID info out there. =RR= |

A whole lot of SMD passive components, especially caps, are not even marked these days. Sad, but true.

Thanks for the link, digitaljunkie.
Unfortunatly, I could not decipher many of the parts....not enough info to be useful to the DIY'er, especially at those sizes. example.....8 pin SOIC labeled : D205 0046Y by Infineon The Infineon site does not even return results when the SMD part # is entered in their search engine. I don't think the other manufacturers return SMD results either, do they ? Less ans less leaded parts these days.....I guess soon, leaded parts will all be rare, and sourced from overstock. =RR= |
