I got an old piece of (Digital Music MX-8 MIDI Patch Bay Processor ) music gear which the display EL is worn out or maybe its the EL driver. anyways that is ont he motherboard and its a bit noisy,
Anyways the display is almost unreadable so i was thinking of replacing it with a similar LED version. they are both hd44780 modules. what i want to know, is if the contrast pot (its on the motherboard in this case) is the same for EL and LED backlit LCD modules. and is there any other things that might cause trouble (besides fitting it) |
