I have a pair of B&W Silver Signature speakers that were purchased used in not working order. I have sent the tweeters back to B&W and had them rebuilt. I have a pair of stands (orignals were destroyed). All that is left is the speaker wire.
I couldn't find full silver cable at a reasonable price, so I purchased a 500' spool of 20 gauge mil spec silver plated cable. My plan is to: -Make a pair for the tweeter (a single 20 gauge run for each the positive and negative) braided together kimber style. -Make a pair for the woofer (four 20 gauge runs for each the positive and the negative). Again, I would like to weave them like kimber. However for the HF, it is tough to braid with just two conductors. Where can I buy a plastic tube filler of similar size that I could use as a filler. Also, I know how to do a simple braid for the HF, but does anybody have directions on the more complex kimber weave for the multiple strands I plan to do on the LF? Again, it will be eight conductors total (4 pos and 4 neg). Thanks! |

I think you should ave tried a jewler if you wanted cheap silver wire..
P.S. you can look up braiding patterns with google.... that is how I learned to braid. |
