Default Standard Radio Connections

I have a problem, I want to put new wires into the standard black connection which goes into the back of the head unit. But i can't seem to get the old wires out. I need to know if there is away of getting the wires out as i have upgraded most of my audio wires to premium wires. Except about 10 cm of wire where it goes into the back of the raido.
