I was looking for a + symbol, but it seems the line serves te same purpose.. |

For tantalum the line always indicate the +, strange convention as opposed to other capacitor

I like how tantalums glow red hot and shoot a red hot glowing embre flying across a room if you give them reverse voltage.
In tech school, I got some old and dead 386 & 486 motherboards and other cards with tants on them, and me and a few classmates were seeing how far we could shoot them burning through the air off of the boards |
