I have even recommended people use this method, when refurbishing old gear, to keep the original look... |

Guys
Do you think that the Chinese counterfeiters are stupid enough to put a Rubycon capacitor inside a fake ? A cheap Asian capacitor, perhaps. I saw this photo a little while back. Perhaps it started life as an April 1 prank ? SandyK |

I think I've seen original Chemicon KMG or KMH 4700uF/50v snap-ins, so I'm not sure that's conclusive. However, there are several other indicators, including bad fonts, that indicate that the pic shown in the OP is that of a counterfeit.
