Yes, I'm a newbie. I'm used to working with relatively large components like electrolytics and wirewound resistors. But now a project I'm working on calls for a Schottky rectifier bridge, which I can only seem to find in a "surface-mount HD DIP package."
Short of soldering tiny wires to the miniscule flat "leads," how does one go about making the connections to such a component? I assume there's a socket of some kind to make this easy, but I don't know what it is! Thanks much, Seth |

You can Make your own Bridge out of Single Shottky rectifier diodes in a Bridge configuration...Maybe this would be easier than useing a SMT part?
