Default grounded potmeter - where to find

Hi

i am currently working on a heavy project, building the rane me60s graphic equalizer
me60s

on page 7 and 8 of the circuit you'll find that the faders for the filter gain consist of 6 contacts (contacts 5 and 6 are all to be found in the right upper corner)
schematic

contact 4 is grounded, which divides the potmeter in 2 halves (up and down)
which company produces such fader or do i interpret them wrong?

thx for all help and grtz
stijn

i am looking for faders, not turnable potmeters
asked someone who has experience over 20 years mostly televisions and he has never seen anything like this, Rane claims that they invented the constant Q bandpass filtering, so that man suggested those might be custom made

send a mail to Rain but had no reply yet

nobody?

The grounded pin on the fader is called a "hopoff" point. Penny & Giles makes faders with hopoff connections.

thx a lot david

Rane replied and they do use center grounded faders but did not tell me from what company

but it should also work with a normal fader, because of the accuracy of only 20%, even when centered, the filter will be active in boost or cut mode, so i'm gonna use bourns faders with a center detent, they will do the job
