Can someone suggest as to how to construct inductors using EI cores of CRGO/CRNGO laminations, capable of handling >6Amps to be used in CLC type of power supplies?
Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanks,

i see you are trying to construct a pi filter for your power supply ...... the best inductors for this are film air core inductors...... Alpha-Core make inductors that fit the bill nicely.

Thanks AudioFreak. I am aware that there might be a few manufacturers like the one that you mention. But obtaining them will pose problems with import restriction in my country. Hence, my idea to build them locally using EI core.
Any ideas?

Samuel, I've had good results using secondary windings of old transformers with suitable VA ratings. Rewind them if you like.
Look out for high voltages on the primaries. Regards WALKER |

Why not just try making your own air core inductors?
I had to make my own for my amp below http://www.geocities.com/super_bq/soz3.html |
