Does anyone know how to decode a date code for a Nippon-Chemicon electrolytic?
Othe than the KMH series, voltage, and capacitance, I have some having "40c14L 72" on the label. Can anyone decipher? |

Found that one, but it doesn't seem to work, as the date codes are not in that format. Thanks.

Found out how to decipher date code for Nippon Chemi-cons:
First digit is the year Second digit is the month: 1-9 and O-N-D third digit is the day: A-Z and a-e the next digit or two is the factory line the next is the factory: L = Lansing then comes the lot # so for "40c14L 72": date: 2004, Oct 29 factory line: 14 factory: Lansing lot #: 72 Don't know how they distinguish 1994, 2004, or 2014, unless they add another digit. Factory tech didn't know, but didn't think KMH series was around in 1994. |
