i recently built a led vumeter but, i have to connect it to the preamp or the amp?

If you connect it to the pre-amp output it will show the level of any source selected by the pre-amp.
Please make sure the LED switching circuit can not feed noise back into the signal path. Also, watch out for new ground loops. |

Hi hernanstafe,
you have to consider the sensitivity of the vumeter also. Amplifiers output voltage is normally a lot higher than a preamp. |

If you connect it to the input of the amp, you can calibrate it to read in watts, or dB below full output.
