U.S. Mains(Line Voltage)Connectors
Here in the UK it is almost impossible to obtain a dual gang 2pin U.S. style Chassis Socket, and I need one to replace a broken socket in a vintage Radford SC22 Preamp., where it provides one switched and one unswitched AC outlet. In the interests of authenticity I wish to keep to the original type connector, which must be available from many U.S. parts suppliers, if someone can provide contact details. Thanks in advance from Mike

The distributors that I usually use are http://www.mouser.com , http://www.digikey.com , and http://www.alliedelec.com . But it might be a bit difficult trying to find it "blind", through their websites. With their paper catalogs, especially Mouser's and Allied's, which have lots of photos, it would be a much quicker process. But you could download the relevant PDF catalog pages, from mouser.com . Digikey also has PDFs of individual catalog pages. I'm not sure about Allied. In Mouser's catalog # 362, you'd probably want pages 952 through 969. But a quick glance through them didn't immediately turn up any complete units matching your description. |
