Hello all, long time reader first time poster...
My problem is that I just built some active monitors (powered speakers). But the levels on the amps dont go high enough (manufactures mistake, sux). So I cant get them to match the volume of my other speakers. The amp I use powers some smaller speakers and provides the preouts for my active monitors. Anyone know of any small single (stereo) channel (I guess or 2 mono) preamplifier? Think a preamp will boost the signal enough? Never needed a preamp before. Figured I would show them ![]()

Alternatively, do you have the schematics for the active circuits?
If you can post them, maybe somebody could suggest a simple change that would boost the gain, so they match the rest of your system better. I would be surprised if the change involves anything more than replacing one, or at most two, resistors. |
